Remote Setting

First, what is a remote setting?

A remote setting or office is a service: it enables people to work remotely, typically their home, and access a range of business functions through the internet. It also gives them a physical address so they can work virtually from almost anywhere. With today’s technology, many service providers and professionals are choosing a virtual setting, such as their home, to provide services to clients.

What this means to you

It means that you are still receiving the same professional service you are accustomed to receiving and would be receiving if I were located in a business office location. Substantially most clients don’t notice a change. Instead of dropping off tax papers at an office, you can upload your documents through a safe and secure private client portal. Or if you prefer, you can mail them to me to my post office box in Smithfield.

I deliver your tax returns or other documents to you electronically through the client portal or mail them to you if you prefer. Meetings can be held through Zoom or other video conferencing software. And if necessary, I can make myself available for a person-to-person meeting.

Many clients appreciate the fact they no longer have to drive to an office to drop off and pick up documents.

“The hardest thing in the world to understand is the income tax.”
